Our partnership with MeltinLab 9th Edition: The Spirit of Innovation in Barcelona

As a business student in Barcelona who’s passionate about entrepreneurship, startups, digital marketing and innovation, you must be eager to engage with the local startup community. Especially if you have your own project that you’d like to grow!
At ESEI, we consider it fundamentally important to support our students’ entrepreneurial journeys. We make sure that you have access to all the tools – and the network – you need to get started.

This is why we’ve partnered up with MeltinLab and are sponsoring the event’s 9th edition, which will place on 4th April 2019 at the UPF Ciutadella Campus. Here’s why you shouldn’t miss it!

Early-stage startups, this is for you

MeltinLab is one of the fastest growing startup events in Barcelona. Gathering more than 400 participants, it gives solo entrepreneurs and early-stage startups access to a wealth of knowledge and a chance to grow their network within the Barcelona startup ecosystem. It’s a good start for anyone who’s looking to learn from the best of the local scene and propel their project forward.

Have you bought your ticket yet? You can use the code ‘lucas20’ for a 20% discount!

A mix between a trade show and a conference, MeltinLab is a great resource for business students to learn about the problems that startups face on a daily basis and how to solve them, get marketing tips from experts specifically for early-stage companies and be inspired by the product innovations of the participating startups.
The event features a range of different activities including workshops, panel talks, a pitch competition for early-stage startups, innovative product presentations and a networking event accompanied by a cocktail dinner.

You won’t have a second to be bored, and even though there’s a lot of learning involved, we promise it won’t feel like school!

Startup workshops

At ESEI, we believe that our students can benefit the most from interactive sessions where they can ask questions and engage with the speaker. It’s no surprise that the section of the MeltinLab programme we’re most excited about is the workshops.
The event features three hands-on workshops presented by experts who will draw from their own experience in running successful companies to help you grow your business.

Patrick Wind, CEO at Ads Accelerator will share his digital marketing tips for startups in a session titled How to scale your Online Sales exponentially with Facebook & Instagram Ads.

In his talk Create a brand that will grow your business, Alex Antolino, Creative Director at Typeform will talk about his experience of growing one of Barcelona’s most successful startup brands.

Last but not least, Daniel Dumig, New Business & Innovation Manager EMEA at Asics will share his thoughts on what it takes to grow your company and drive it towards success in How to become a great startup leader.

You will walk away with actionable strategies that you can start applying to your own business, or even a school project that you’re working on. Bring a notebook and a pen – or a laptop – and start taking notes!

The workshops have a limited capacity. Only 40 tickets available! Secure your spot, they sell out fast.

Not your usual panel talks

At this edition of Meltinlab, you’ll attend two discussions on the topic of Innovation – the main theme of the event. Let’s see if they spark a debate!

The first panel, Innovation: the winning strategy between startups and corporates will discuss how startups can collaborate with big companies in a way that benefits both parties.

Panel talk number two will explore branding and marketing strategies for startups in a session titled Best tips to differentiate your business from the market.

The panels’ distinguished speakers will include Simone Van Neerven, Head of Innovation at Vueling; Elias Ghanem, Chief New Technologies Officer Capgemini; David Hooker, Director of Brand Marketing & Communications TravelPerk and others.

Startup pitches

A startup event wouldn’t be a startup event without a pitch competition. MeltinLab will welcome five innovative startups to the stage who will share their products and services with the audience and try to blow us all away.
Oh, and don’t forget about the cocktail dinner! It’s a great opportunity to make friends and meet potential new customers, investors, business partners.

Secure your spot now and let’s catch up at the event!

When:
4 April 2019 2:15 PM – 11:45 PM
Where:
UPF Ciutadella Campus
Carrer de Ramon Trias Fargas 25, 08005 Barcelona

MeltinLab is an event by Spitche, a Barcelona startup that has created a powerful platform for brands that are looking to enhance their digital marketing efforts with the help of nano-influencer loyalty programmes.
