A Journey of Passion and Purpose
Chinwe Nwosu (‘24), originally from Nigeria, began her career in digital fashion design and founded her own fashion brand in Nigeria, Fabricator, creating androgynous pieces for women. These early ventures reflect her creativity, entrepreneurial mindset, and passion for innovation.
Reflecting on her journey, Chinwe shared, “I always talk about the fact that I have always been interested in fashion.” However, after launching her own brand, she realised, “I just felt like there was more that I needed to do. I am now more interested in innovations and doing things differently.” This insight inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ESEI in Barcelona, where she could combine her creative background with practical business and leadership skills. She explained, “When I was choosing a programme, the innovations and entrepreneurship programme really caught my eye because I’ve always been someone that has wanted to improve already existing processes for anything that I’m doing.”
Today, Chinwe is a Product Manager at WarbleLive in Nigeria, where she leads cross-functional teams, manages digital product development, and coordinates with engineers, designers, and analysts to deliver innovative solutions. In her role, she applies her expertise in communication, collaboration, time management, and leadership, ensuring products progress smoothly and achieve strategic objectives. Chinwe also embraces continuous learning, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to maximise the impact of the products she manages.
Transforming Passion into Professional Growth
While her fashion brand allowed her to express creativity, Chinwe sought broader opportunities to innovate. ESEI’s hands-on learning approach and focus on entrepreneurship provided her with the tools to translate ideas into practical solutions.
After completing her master’s, she returned to Nigeria and immersed herself in the fast-growing technology ecosystem. Despite not having a technical background, she identified product management as a role where she could apply her creativity, organisational skills, and strategic thinking. “I’ve learned to collaborate with engineers, data analysts, designers, and the whole team to bring a product to life. Every day presents a new opportunity to grow and learn, and I enjoy the process of turning ideas into reality,” she reflected.
At WarbleLive, Chinwe leads cross-functional teams to deliver digital products. Her role requires adaptability, effective communication, and strong leadership — all skills she strengthened at ESEI through collaborative projects with a diverse international cohort. “ESEI made a lot of things easier for me… having worked with different people in such a diverse community, I learned to collaborate effectively. That is one skill that I am now currently practising in my role,” she said.
Balancing Passions with Professional Ambitions
Chinwe continues to pursue her passions alongside her professional career. She has begun developing athleisure products for both men and women, designed to encourage healthier lifestyles. “I’ve always loved fitness, and I want to create products that make it easier for people to stay active and feel confident. It’s exciting to bring my ideas to life and see the impact they can have,” she explained.
Her approach embodies the principle that learning never stops. Even in a demanding role, she consistently explores emerging technologies, particularly AI, to enhance her expertise. “You have to keep learning. You have to keep putting yourself out there. You have to keep networking, meeting people,” she shared. This dedication reflects both her curiosity and commitment to making a meaningful impact.
