ESEI Career Coaching: Preparing Students for an International Career

At ESEI Business School in Barcelona, we understand that launching an international career takes more than classroom learning. It requires strategy, guidance and real-world experience.

Our Career Coaching Programme provides exactly that. It helps students identify their goals, build confidence and gain the tools they need to thrive in the global job market.

Step-by-Step: How ESEI’s Career Coaching Works

1. Personal Coaching with Licensed Experts

Students in the International MBA Programme benefit from private coaching sessions with ESEI’s Co-Director, Carlota Estera, a licensed coach and practitioner with a Master in NLP & Coaching from the Institut Gestalt Barcelona and certification from the NLP & Coach Federation.

These sessions encourage reflection on your vision, mission and professional objectives. They help you become more aware of your current skills, identify areas for growth and strengthen self-confidence.

2. Career Workshop: Building a Strong Foundation

At the start of every intake, students attend a Career Workshop covering the essentials of personal branding, networking and professional development. You will learn how to make the most of your ESEI experience and enter the job market ready to succeed internationally.

3. CV Clinics and Personal Branding Support

Our CV Clinics help students create outstanding profiles that get noticed. Coaches provide guidance on writing an effective CV and cover letter, preparing for interviews and handling key employer questions.

In Spain, having a professional photo is highly recommended for applications. ESEI offers a free photo service to help students build a polished, trustworthy personal brand.

Your CV and LinkedIn profile are more than a summary of achievements. They reflect your identity as a professional ready to take on global challenges.

4. Access to the Career Portal and LinkedIn Network

Students enjoy access to the ESEI Career Portal, featuring the latest job and internship offers aligned with each programme. We use this LinkedIn group to share opportunities, industry events and insights, connecting students directly with employers and alumni around the world.

5. Interview Preparation and Networking Events

Our coaching includes mock interviews, recruitment simulations and professional networking events. Students meet with employers from different industries, gaining valuable exposure to various career paths and company cultures.

6. Career Fairs and Industry Exposure

ESEI hosts two annual Career Fairs, one in spring and one in autumn. These events give students the chance to meet recruiters, explore opportunities and learn what top employers look for in candidates. The next ESEI Career Fair will be held on November 21st, 2025 at the ESEI campus!

We also share information about external job fairs in Barcelona, ensuring our students stay aware of every opportunity available to them.

7. Lifelong Career Support and Alumni Mentoring

ESEI’s career services team offers free ongoing support to help students and graduates achieve success. Whether you need to build a CV, prepare for interviews or develop a professional portfolio, we are here to guide you.

Our team connects students with professionals and HR experts who share real-world insights. Many graduates credit ESEI’s career coaching for their success in securing roles across Europe and beyond.
