When the new Bachelor’s cohort of 2016-2017 arrived at ESEI in September, Joris stood out immediately as a natural communicator and got along well straight away with all of the current and new students. So,  when wondering who could be the next Human of ESEI, it was a natural choice to ask Joris, as he has so much he wants to share. Here is what he had to say:

“Since I graduated from high school, I had the opportunity to see different parts of the world and I came into contact with different cultures and people and developed myself through their stories.

In my opinion, travelling is the best way to learn about life. It helps you realize what the important things are; you embrace the values and norms you received from your parents and family and you start appreciating the little things in life.

Life is about taking risks, never giving up and not looking back. I believe everything happens for a reason and you never know what will be around the corner. Dare, take the step, discover and never forget where you come from.”

Apart from his studies, Joris is also an active member of the student council and recently started a charity project on campus, raising money to provide hot meals and clothes for the homeless community in Barcelona this winter with a local NGO.
